How to Register a Domain with Kimnet

Learn the normal Kimnet domain-registration flow from availability check to activation.

Start by searching for the domain you want through the Kimnet domain search.

Kimnet checks supported domain extensions and returns an availability result when a reliable availability source is available. A domain should only proceed through checkout after a recent verified available result.

Review the first-year registration price and the disclosed renewal price. Promotional first-year pricing can be different from the amount charged in later years.

Complete the customer and order information, review the order and pay the resulting invoice.

After verified payment, the domain enters the Kimnet domain-management workflow. Some upstream domain actions can require administrative processing rather than instant automated registration.

A domain can therefore temporarily show a status such as Registration Pending while the upstream registration is being completed.

Do not assume that payment alone proves that a domain has already been registered. Wait until the domain record shows the appropriate active status or Kimnet confirms completion.

Once active, keep track of the domain's expiry and renewal information from your customer account.
