How to Transfer a Domain to Kimnet

Understand Kimnet's domain-transfer request, payment and administrative processing workflow.

An eligible domain can be transferred into Kimnet's managed domain workflow.

Open the Domain Transfer area in your Kimnet customer account and provide the domain and required transfer information.

Most transferable domains require an EPP or authorization code from the current registrar. Obtain this code through the registrar currently managing the domain.

Kimnet protects the submitted authorization code in storage and exposes it only where required for the transfer workflow.

A transfer request creates the applicable billing record. After the transfer invoice has been fully paid and verified, the request moves to the next processing stage.

Registrar transfer processing is not falsely represented as an instant automated action. Kimnet can require administrative processing with the upstream registrar.

The request status lets you track whether payment, action or processing is still required.

Transfer completion can also depend on the domain's current registrar status and applicable registry rules. Keep the domain unlocked where required and ensure the authorization code is current.

Do not cancel the domain at the old registrar merely because you are transferring it. Follow the transfer process instead.
