How to Change Your cPanel Password

Change the hosting control-panel password while keeping your credentials secure.

Your cPanel credentials control access to important hosting functions and should be protected carefully.

Where the Kimnet service page provides a supported cPanel password-change action, use that account-management option. Otherwise use the appropriate password-management method available for the hosting account.

Choose a strong password that is unique to the hosting account. Do not reuse your email, social media or other important passwords.

After changing the password, update any legitimate application or connection that depends directly on those credentials. Avoid storing the password in unsecured notes or sending it through messaging applications.

Changing a cPanel password does not automatically change individual email mailbox passwords, WordPress administrator passwords or your Kimnet customer-account password. These are separate credentials.

If you did not initiate a password change or suspect unauthorized access, secure the affected credentials promptly and contact Kimnet support with the relevant service details.
