How to Create a Professional Email Account

Create a mailbox for your domain using the email tools available in cPanel.

A professional email address uses your own domain, for example info@yourdomain.

Open cPanel for the relevant hosting service and locate the Email Accounts section. Choose the option to create a new email account.

Select the appropriate domain, enter the mailbox name and set a strong password. Where mailbox storage limits are configurable, choose a quota appropriate for the hosting package and expected email use.

After creation, the mailbox can normally be accessed through the webmail tools provided by cPanel. You can also configure supported desktop or mobile email applications using the connection information shown by cPanel.

Use a unique password for every important mailbox. Avoid using easily guessed passwords based on the domain or business name.

Mailbox storage contributes to hosting resource usage. Remove unnecessary large messages or increase resources when appropriate rather than allowing a mailbox to consume all available space.

If outgoing or incoming mail is failing, first confirm that the hosting service is Active and that the mailbox exists. Record any delivery error or bounce message before contacting support because the exact error is important for diagnosis.
