SSL allows a website to use HTTPS, which encrypts traffic between the visitor's browser and the website.
For SSL to work correctly, the domain must point to the correct hosting account and the hosting environment must be able to validate the domain.
A newly registered domain or a recent DNS change can therefore affect how quickly SSL becomes available.
SSL protects data in transit, but it does not replace website security. You must still keep website software, passwords, themes and plugins secure and up to date.
If the domain is correctly connected to an Active Kimnet hosting service but the browser continues to show a certificate problem, open a support ticket with the domain and the exact certificate or browser warning.
