What Happens After You Purchase Web Hosting?

Understand the steps between placing a hosting order and receiving an active hosting service.

A Kimnet hosting purchase moves through several stages before the hosting account is ready.

First, you choose a hosting package and provide the required domain and customer information. Kimnet creates an order and an invoice for the amount due.

Payment must then be completed through an available payment method. A browser success message by itself does not activate hosting. Kimnet verifies the payment on the server before treating the invoice as paid.

After verified payment, the hosting account enters the provisioning process. Kimnet communicates with the hosting infrastructure to create the cPanel account and apply the correct hosting package.

When provisioning succeeds, the hosting service becomes Active and the service details become available in your customer portal.

If payment succeeds but automatic provisioning encounters a technical problem, your payment remains recorded. The service may temporarily show a provisioning-related status while Kimnet investigates or retries the provisioning process.

Once active, open the service from your account to view its primary domain, package, server information, next due date and cPanel access.

Domain registration and hosting activation are related but separate processes. A domain that requires registration or manual upstream processing can take a different path from creation of the hosting account.
